A while back I realized that I wasn’t living my day to day life as consciously as I should be.  I wasn’t paying attention to all the simple moments that were occurring throughout the day that were bringing me joy and, because I wasn’t paying attention to these simple moments, I wasn’t fully experiencing the joy these moments held.

So, I started paying attention.

I now try to record at least one simple moment a day via twitter using #simplemoments in each tweet.

For me, a simple moment is defined as:

• a moment that doesn’t depend on money
• a moment when I am fully engaged in an experience
• a moment when I am appreciating the occasion that God has gifted me with at that one particular time
• a moment when I am truly finding the JOY in the enjoyment

I record these moments for myself not only so that I have a record of these moments, but also so that I become more aware of these simple moments in my life.
